You may remember this little one from a year ago when I did her newborn photos. She was a sweetie then and is still a sweetie but now has a bit of spice added which makes her a riot! She was pretty cooperative for a one year old and we managed to get lots of cute shots of her – as long as we did things her way. Sounds a lot like my toddler – I warned M. what she might be in for! Meet Baby S. – almost 3 months old, but this little warrior came quite a bit early so spent some time in the hospital. She came to see me shortly after she arrived home and was a great sleeper and the snuggliest little thing ever. We got to do some great outdoor shots with her as the weather cooperated – she just slept peacefully while we shuffled around with her. R and J – I am so thrilled that we were able to make everything work out in the end. It was wonderful to meet both of you and your little one is amazing. Meet Baby C… the fourth beautiful child in this wonderful family. We were so lucky to have good weather and managed to get some great shots of her outdoors for a few minutes – the picket fence has such a great natural patina on it, I love how it looks in these shots. And of course Baby C. looks so darn peaceful in almost every shot, she really is a little angel. Congratulations you guys! I will have your images ready for you shortly. Enjoy your sneak peek!

More Mexico…..

I’m going to apologize in advance for limited blog posts over the summer. I did not get my wrist surgery but have been told to rest my hand/wrist for the summer, so will be limiting both my camera and computer time. Hopefully this will help heal some things so that I can be pain free in the near future! I will still be working on my new website and a few other things, but for the most part will be taking the summer off to spend time with my family and heal!
Here are some shots from Mexico. It was awesome to just shoot with my kids, it seems like ages since I’ve had the chance to do that… a few new faves in here for sure…..

Mexican Adventure!

I know I’m supposed to be recovering from surgery but there was an issue when I went in for surgery and I could not get my procedure done as scheduled. I am still on pseudo bed-rest and need to take time off for the majority of the summer to rest my hand and go through some additional testing – but I’m not one handed which is kind of nice!
So I am catching up on some blog posts since it was a bit crazy around here preparing for surgery. My brother got married in a small town called Melaque in Mexico in April. It was such a cool place to go – total rustic little town where roosters wander the streets and life just seems so simple. It was such a relaxing, laid back place to be – we loved it. I actually rode a bike for the first time in ages and for some reason it was the most amazing experience for me. I was just riding along in the breeze – smiling and waving at the locals, stopping at shops and filing my giant nerd basket on the bike. It seemed like eat, love, pray all in an hour.
To start – here’s some scenic shots of Melaque and some of Peurto Vallarta. Just seeing them makes me relax!

Little Miss A.

You may recognize this little gem from previous blog posts. When her parents booked with me, I had a collection pacakage that included 3 sessions throughout the year. I had discontinued them because early last year I transitioned to photographing newborns only – and that keeps me busy enough! You also may recognize her as I have quite a few of her pictures plastered all over Urban Infant Magazine and West Coast Kids. But I have to say that I love seeing my little models grow and develop over the year. It was so awesome to hang with little Miss A. and see how she’s grown into a little girl with sugar and quite a bit of spice! Loved this session and it was a blast to get shots of a toddler for a change. T&C – you are great clients and I look forward to our hipster session in August. T – you MUST be in the August session, no excuses. Talk to you soon – hope you are feeling better soon C.

I feel horrible that I have been neglecting my blog for the past month! It has been crazy busy trying to finish everything for clients before I go for my carpal tunnel surgery on Tuesday. Thank you to everyone for your patience while I try to finish off design work, print orders etc. I really notice that my carpal tunnel is getting worse and I cannot spend as much time on the computer as I used to – so the surgery will be good in the long run. I just have to get through the recovery now!
On to bigger and better things! Meet little Miss H. She was well overdue and not super happy to come hang with me for the afternoon. We had to wrap things up early, she was just having an off day and we didnt’ want to make her off day worse! I did manage to get a few shots of her before she left and here they are. G – I will chat with you soon so we can figure out what to do!

I apologize for the delay – I am catching up on things and we have a sick kiddo in the house that tends to need her mom a lot! So check out Baby A. – great hair, great skin and kind of hard to get to sleep! He did sleep eventually, but it took a lot of work on everyone’s part. We had big plans to include the family dog in some of the photos, but when we got baby to cooperate the dog wanted nothing to do with us which is just how it goes sometimes! Here are some of my favorite shots of Baby E. – a petite little angel who was a dream to photograph. We managed to get some shots with her adoring siblings (which was a bonus!) and had so much fun with her because she looked so good in rich colors and was just small enough to use some of my new props I’ve been wanting to use! Meet Baby A. - just six days old and sweet as ever. She had a great crop of hair and even gave us a few smiles.
