Well, we are off to sunny Mexico for a week! I will be back with more posts after Easter. Have a great Easter everyone! I’ll leave you with a few shots from our trip to Mexico. It won’t be the same without the Fenniaks…the only other person who matches their kids as much (if not more) than I do!

I just realized this is my third ‘Baby A.’ in four weeks! This Baby A. is a boy, and a beautiful blue-eyed blondie at that. He looks exactly like his older brother – who is such a sweet little guy! Baby A. didn’t want much to do with sleeping on Saturday…mom tried everything! We did eventually get some great shots and apparently he’s been sleeping hard since he left our session. A huge thanks to Niki – my fabulous assistant who I’d be lost without! I’m working on securing her for all my newborn sessions, though I’m secretly worried she will end up having another baby as she’s pretty crazy for newborns. W. Family – thank you so much for sticking it out on Saturday. I know it was a long session, but I really enjoyed your company and you’re welcome here anytime! Enjoy the sneak peeks, your gallery will be up soon! I had to include this first image as I kind of thought it summed up a good portion of what our session was like!

Great news….a new date has been announced for the next How to Improve your Photography (HIP) Workshop! Mark your calendars….Saturday, April 24th from 1-4. This workshop has been designed specifically for individuals who would like to learn how to take better snapshots of their children. Topics include finding the light, engaging your subject and capturing the moment. After MUCH agonizing, waiting and some obsessing, I have finally chosen an album vendor that fits the style of my photography and the needs of my clients. I am so thrilled to introduce the new albums I am offering. They come in two sizes, a 6×6 which comes with 20 pages, and the 9×9 which has 30 pages.
A little more detail about these beautiful albums. Each album is flush mounted, meaning they lay flat when opened (perfect for displaying on an easel or a shelf, open to a different page each day). Your images are printed on Fuji professional photo paper and are matt coated and embossed. These books are sturdy but still beautiful, and are made to withstand little fingers checking out the pages. You will fall in love with these albums and will have it for generations to come.

Sorry for the absence, things have been very busy around here! More on that later…. Here is a sneak peek of Baby H. This little guy stole my heart, he is an absoloute dream! He is soft, squishy, snuggly and sweet and has a great head of hair to top it all off! Niki helped me with these shots and we found ourselves arguing over who got to snuggle the little guy, he was just that great. He brought along his super cool, laid back mom who was pretty sweet herself! Thanks so much for sticking it out with us two crazies and our branches, stumps and gauze! I loved taking H’s pictures and look forward to seeing him again very soon. Here are some of my faves from the session.

Another great session this weekend! Baby A. has 2 older adoring brothers (much like last week’s newborn!) and is sooooo girly! She is going to be very loved and well taken care of. She is 4 weeks old, so not the sleepiest squishiest baby anymore but she was very cooperative and gave us lots of great expressions! She slept peaceully with her brothers which turned into some of my new favourite shots! Thanks C. family, what a great day I had with all of you. I can’t wait to see you again in a few months for our next session…

More accordian albums arrived this week. These have quickly become my new favorite product. Sets of 3 accordian albums with up to 12 images of your choice, they are so cute. I will be adding them to my price list this weekend and massaging a few of the collections as I’ve changed album vendors.

Okay, I’m back from our holiday. The Olympics were great, as expected, we had a really nice time away. And waiting for me when I got back (I was secretly hoping she would wait a few days longer…) was this little munchkin. I really appreciate returning clients, and I had the pleasure last fall of taking some shots of the other two siblings in this family. I expect we’ll be taking more shots of all three of them in the future! So this little one was a tad older than I usually shoot for newborns, she was 14 days old. She was so good and so darn sweet, but she is already getting her little personality and would often open one eye and glare at me if I tried to move her around. She gave me the finger more than once, I just love her spice! She was so good and so patient with us, so it was a great session. D., thank you so much for hanging out with me on Saturday, I really enjoyed your company! I know you’ve been waiting for these….enjoy, she’s truly amazing!
