Sneak Peek | Baby A. and her peeps – Edmonton Newborn Photographer
Posted on March 8, 2010
Another great session this weekend! Baby A. has 2 older adoring brothers (much like last week’s newborn!) and is sooooo girly! She is going to be very loved and well taken care of. She is 4 weeks old, so not the sleepiest squishiest baby anymore but she was very cooperative and gave us lots of great expressions! She slept peaceully with her brothers which turned into some of my new favourite shots! Thanks C. family, what a great day I had with all of you. I can’t wait to see you again in a few months for our next session…

Posted on March 6, 2010
More accordian albums arrived this week. These have quickly become my new favorite product. Sets of 3 accordian albums with up to 12 images of your choice, they are so cute. I will be adding them to my price list this weekend and massaging a few of the collections as I’ve changed album vendors.

Sneak Peek – Little Miss A. – Edmonton Newborn Photographer
Posted on March 1, 2010
Okay, I’m back from our holiday. The Olympics were great, as expected, we had a really nice time away. And waiting for me when I got back (I was secretly hoping she would wait a few days longer…) was this little munchkin. I really appreciate returning clients, and I had the pleasure last fall of taking some shots of the other two siblings in this family. I expect we’ll be taking more shots of all three of them in the future! So this little one was a tad older than I usually shoot for newborns, she was 14 days old. She was so good and so darn sweet, but she is already getting her little personality and would often open one eye and glare at me if I tried to move her around. She gave me the finger more than once, I just love her spice! She was so good and so patient with us, so it was a great session. D., thank you so much for hanging out with me on Saturday, I really enjoyed your company! I know you’ve been waiting for these….enjoy, she’s truly amazing!

New Product – Accordian Albums – Edmonton Childrens Photographer
Posted on February 10, 2010
I am very excited to show off some new products I will be offering to my clients. These are mini accordian albums, and are great for brag books or gifts. They are sized at 3×3, and come in packs of 3. I created these ones to give my brother and one to my grandparents when we go to visit. They’re small enough for grandma to carry in her purse, or unfold onto the mantle if she wants to admire them! You get 12 images into this little album, and the front and back or hard covers so they are quite durable. I have some templates to use when creating these or for a more contemporary look, consider one image per page! Check them out, I will be adding them my a la carte prices soon. I am also reworking my collections as I have had difficulties with the album company I’m working with. I’ve decided to switch vendors meaning the product will be different but there will be a price decrease, so that’s good for everyone. The albums will be high quality coffee tables and I had a chance to view some last week and really liked them. It’s hard to choose vendors as they are all in the USA and we can’t just run out and ‘touch them’ to see if we like them… Details coming later this week. Now here’s the accordian albums!

Miss J. Sneak Peek – Edmonton Childrens Photographer
Posted on February 10, 2010
I had a session with this little one year old and her family on Sunday. I had forgotten how much I love one year olds! And Miss J. was everything you would expect from a one year old, happy, energetic and a total ham! We had a great time just watching her do her thing. Thanks for the session guys – J. is so sweet!

More Newborn Workshop Photos – Edmonton Newborn Photographer
Posted on February 6, 2010
A few more shots from the workshop to show you…more to come in the next few days! I’m trying out some new conversion techniques as well, as my usual color pops don’t meld well with the style of these images. It’s different but I like it and will continue to experiment a bit. I need to try some in black and white as well but it takes more work so it could be a few days before you see those…

Newborns from the BAA Workshop – Edmonton Newborn Photographer
Posted on February 6, 2010
I am back from San Diego and the workshop was great! They packed so much into 2 days and we had the opportunity to observe the masters at work while they posed 4 newborns over the course of 2 days. I can’t wait to do some newborn sessions and try out my new skills. I have so many shots to go through but here are a few to check out while I weed through the pile!
