I do apologize for the absence of late from my blog and business in general. We were surprised a month early with a gorgeous little baby in the family and we’ve been spending as much time as we can visiting her in the hospital. I kind of put things on hold for a week, plus my kids were sick and now I’m sick so so sorry for the delay! If you did phone me last week – please email or phone me again. I missed a few days somewhere last week!
Now on to Baby T. I love this kid. Really. I saw her on a Sunday and the day before she had been to the Oilers Skills Contest all dressed up in her Oiler gear! Her and her mom are total warriors, just love them.
And Baby T. was a dream to photograph. Gorgeous skin, totally calm and patient…..just a dream. Just look at those lips!! K., I apologize for making you wait. I hope you find some images you love, I will have your gallery to you shortly!

I had a chance to meet this little sweetie the day before Christmas Eve – due to a bit of rescheduling on account of the flu making a Christmas visit to our place! Allow me to introduce Baby O….a sweet little gem with lots of great hair and the most peaceful nature. She was a dream to photograph (those lips!) and although she is a very alert baby, she was most cooperative and let us get the poses we wanted. Just finishing off a few last sessions before a little Christmas break. Meet Little Miss A., 3 weeks old but she arrived a little early so was still under six pounds! Such a petite, sleepy little sweetheart – she was an absolute joy to photograph. It was lovely meeting all of you – I hope you enjoy your early Christmas surprise! Meet Baby H…. the fourth girl in this gorgeous family! Just 6 days old and so precious, we managed to get some great shots with her adoring sisters and of course lots of her on her own. Girls – you were awesome! Thanks so much for being such rock stars.

Okay, all that drama in the previous post and clearly I’ve done nothing to get my website or new blog up. Sorry, don’t hold your breath, for some reason I always end up kicking it to the bottom of my long priority list.
But on to better things! This is Baby W. His dad does some work for me, I’m not sure how much information to give, somehow it ends up sounding shady. Anyways, this little man has way cooler hair than his dad and runs a little on the spicy side. He kind of gave us all a run for our money – but in the end, he cooperated (on his terms) and we got the shots we really wanted. I like a little spice in a baby – we want our kids to be strong right? J&R enjoy your images and I will get your gallery up ASAP so you can show the out of towners. Thanks for coming over and being nice to me…

Studio Update

Wow, I cannot believe it’s been a month since I updated my blog….probably a good time to come clean and admit that I am not crazy in love with blogging. I love taking pictures, hanging out with my clients, editing etc., but I’m a pretty private person and blogging just does NOT come naturally to me! Something to work on I suppose…
Anyways, there will be a few changes to both my blog and website coming this week. I’ve been obsessing forever over my new website and think am ready to just go live with it and then make any tweaks needed over the next month or so. So please be patient if things are down, or slow, or just strange. Hopefully things will be back to normal soon!
In the meantime, I wanted to post some of the wedding shots I took in Mexico in April. I kind of got sidetracked and never did get them up here – so a few of my faves to get you through this transition period! Looking back I still am blown away at how beautiful everything was and how it was such an amazing wedding. Destination weddings – love them….

C. Family Session | Edmonton Family Photographer

So I think it’s pretty well known that I do not often do family sessions. I do make exceptions for families who have been with me since their newborn session, which applies to this family. I have done four sessions for them over the two years – and this was finally going to be the chance to get EVERYONE in on a picture, even Dad. Things do not always worked out as planned though. The little one was in a bit of a mood – so we were in a hurry trying to beat the clock before she melted. Then we went to go down one of my fave alleys to get to a great spot for photos and they were filming a slasher film in the alley. Seriously. I had to chat with the crew and plead that they all turn around while the family filed through – the last thing we needed was for one of the kids to see some Freddie Krueger look alike and be scared for their life. Despite the drama – we got some great shots and hopefully even some with the entire family! Enjoy your sneak peek C&T, I will have your gallery up soon!

Meet Baby N! This little guy and his family traveled 5 hours from Fort Mac Murray for our session, and I am so thrilled that they did. Baby N. was 15 days old when we met but he slept like a dream for me and we got so many great shots of him. Hopefully the rest of the family got to check out WEM and do some shopping and playing while they were in town. Thanks for coming all that way K and K, I will have your gallery ready very soon.
